Aray Solar - Photovoltaic (PV) Power Projects
Aray Solar is a leading developer of photovoltaic (PV) power generation projects operating across Europe. The company began developing PV projects in Spain in 2005 and since 2008 the company has also established a successful presence in central and eastern Europe with projects under development in the Czech Republic and Romania.
In 2009 Aray Solar was contracted to develop two solar farms in the Czech Republic for a Spanish investor;
- A 2.5MWp PV project near the town of Cejetice in the Czech Republic, to be constructed on a 5 hectare site near to the former brickworks
- A 4.5MWp PV project near the town of Benatky nad Jizerou in the Czech Republic, to be constructed on a 9 hectare site located adjacent to the city industrial zone
Alpha provided support to Aray Solar by;
- Arranging share transfers for an existing sro company into Aray Solar ownership, obtaining appropriate trade licences, opening bank accounts, providing the registered address
- Providing office space and administrative support
- Recruiting the Project Manager, Technical Manager and Site Managers
- Identifying suitable development sites and assisting with technical evaluations
- Sourcing local contractors for civil, electrical and mechanical works
- Making introductions to local professional service providers; lawyers, tax advisors, specialist accountants, project financing banks
- Providing regular reporting and budgets to project investors
Both projects were completed in time to meet the Czech Government deadline before Feed-In-Tariffs (FITs) were suspended at the end of 2010;
· The Cejetice PV plant utilises over 11,000 polycrystalline and will produce around 2.4MWh of clean, emission-free electricity per year. The project was completed and connected to the E.ON network in December 2010
· The Benatky PV plant utilises over 20,000 polycrystalline modules and will produce around 4.2MWh of clean, emission-free electricity per year. The project was completed and connected to the CEZ grid in December 2010
