Central and Eastern Europe holds great potential for the European plastics industry, including injection moulding, thermoforming and packaging production. Lower labour costs, together with a well-educated labour force, mean the region is proving a magnet for global investment in new plastics plants.

This transfer of western technology and capital is underpinning the rapid growth of the region, which already offers attractive and expanding consumer and industrial end user markets.

The sector supplies components to all segments of industry, in particular for the production of motor vehicles, electric machinery, the construction industry, agriculture, the food industry and the leisure industry.
