Romania grows fastest in Europe

The Romanian Prime Minister presented the results that his cabinet had achieved during his mandate. European Union accession, economic growth and good standard of living are the three targets the Government accomplished, said Tariceanu during the presentation, adding that Romania is the fastest growing European state in terms of the GDP growth.
Tariceanu's statements, in brief, included:
We managed to double the pensions, a new pensions growth is scheduled for October 1
The economy has recorded accelerating growth
The gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 8.8%
There are no locations in Romania without at least one school that has been modernised
A profound reform of the health care system has begun
35 billion euro worth of investments were attracted between 2004 and 2008, double the amount in the period 1991-2004.
The third quarter of 2008 could bring a record economic growth in Romania: 10% or higher, analysts reckon.
