Polish presidential election - first round results

The leaders of parties that have the largest representation in the new parliament are wining. Donald Tusk (Civic Platform, PO) gained 36.33%, Jarosław Kaczyński (Law and Justice, PiS) gained 33.10%.


The Polish Election Committee announced that Donald Tusk (PO) has won. He gained 36.33% of votes, Jarosław Kaczyński (PiS) is ranked second with 33.10%. The third runner up is Andrzej Lepper (Self-Defence, Samoobrona) - 15.11%, and Marek Borowski (Polish Social Democracy, SdPL)- 10.19% is fourth. Other candidates received less than 2% of voters support.


The turnout was 49.74%. The second round will take place on October 23rd.
