Poland in mourning after tragedy during pigeon exhibition

On Saturday, largest catastrophe during last 20 years happened in Poland. Sixty seven people were killed in a roof collapse. Over 140 were injured. President Lech Kaczyński declared a national mourning, it will last until Wednesday.


There were foreigners amongst victims. A Belgian, two Czech, one Slovak and German people died in the catastrophe. The nationality of sixth victim is unknown. Thirteen foreign visitors were injured. All have been transported to Silesian hospitals.


The rescue action has been praised for speed and professionalism.
