Industrial Production in CZ grows, but lacks dynamics

Average number of employees in industry has increased by 1.9 % compared to May last year. Nowadays, the industrial production gives job to 22,500 employees.
Industrial production grew by 3.4%, adjusted for the number of workdays by 5.2 % respectively. Production of electrical and optical machines and appliances, machinery production and repair as well as production of vehicles contributed most to the growth. On the contrary, food and beverages, tobacco, textile and clothing production dropped.
The average gross monthly salary came at 23,256 CZK, which represents a 7.1 % increase in comparison to last year. Average hourly wage jumped up by 13.3% and settled on 164.7 CZK. Labour productivity grew by 1.2 % overall, hourly productivity is higher by 7.4%.
