RB Farquhar s.r.o. to expand manufacture in Chomutov
and create 200 new jobs

RB Farquhar s.r.o is a wholly owned subsidiary of RB Farquhar (Manufacturing) Limited registered in Scotland, United Kingdom. In 2003, RB Farquhar established a manufacturing presence in Chomutov to produce bathroom modules for hotels, student accommodation and residential housing schemes. These complete bathrooms are manufactured to higher standards than can be produced on building sites and can be installed very quickly into new and renovated buildings saving valuable time and cost to customers.
RB Farquhar s.r.o. commenced with 50 workers and 5 staff in late 2003 and has grown already to 200 employees in their 3,600 m2 factory. Production in Chomutov is exported mainly to the UK and Ireland
From 1st July 2006, RB Farquhar will lease a second factory of 2,400 m2 on the same site in Chomutov to double the manufacture of modules for UK, German, French and Benelux markets. An additional 200 new jobs will be created within two years. Many more jobs will be created at RB Farquhar suppliers in the Czech Republic where the Company purchases raw materials and components such as steel, sanitary ware, brass ware, piping and cabling.
Managing Director, Michael Shand, has praised the flexibility and attitudes of staff and workers at RB Farquhar that have contributed to the Company’s success in the Czech Republic.
