Investment into the manufacturing sector offers excellent potential due to the Czech Republic’s long and rich industrial heritage. The Czech Republic is one of the most successful transition economies in attracting foreign direct investment. The introduction of investment incentives in 1998 has stimulated a massive inflow of FDI into both greenfield and brownfield projects and since 1993 more than EUR 46 billion in FDI has been recorded.
One of the main attractions of the Czech economy is a skilled and well-educated labour force available at a fraction of the cost of western economies. According to the OECD, the Czech Republic is among the countries with the highest percentage of science and engineering students.
In light of this and coupled with a generous government run investment incentive programme, it is no surprise that the Czech Republic is such an attractive location for companies of all sizes.
