The Rompa Group

The Rompa Group is a leading company in the design, development and production of plastic components, packaging, trays and assemblies on three continents. The company provides a unique combination of injection moulding and thermo-forming, as well as a range of decorating techniques and has its own in-house design and engineering. Rompa manufacture a range of products including automotive and technical components, trays, luxury cases, holders and assemblied products like recharging stands and automatic towel dispensers.

In 2005, Rompa also took over an injection moulding company in the Czech Republic (GM Vyškov), which resulted in Rompa CZ s.r.o. (Vyškov) being founded. Rompa CZ specializes in Automotive, Technical and Consumer Electronic markets: making injection moulded parts, assemblies as well as thermoformed blister packaging and trays.

During 2007/8 Alpha provided support for the company’s transition to a new 11,000m2 manufacturing facility in Vyškov:

• Coordination of the site reservation and purchase from the City of Vyškov
• Identifying and selecting potential developers for the new facility
• Managing the developer tender process and preparing bid tabs
• Providing support to Rompa senior management during developer technical and commercial evaluation and contract award
• Arranging project KO meetings in the Czech Republic and Holland
• Assistance with transition planning and HR reorganisation
• Making introductions to Alpha clients interested in purchasing Rompa packaging products

The new Rompa CZ facility opened in the second half of 2009.
